Event Details
Caped crusaders, masked heroes, and sidekicks unite to celebrate the HERO that lies within us all and fight the worst of villains – Brain Tumour.
All are welcome to enjoy a SUPER family event and meet your favourite SUPERHERO!
Our mission is to come together and combine our super powers to defeat and conquer this villain known as Brain Tumour!
Grab your capes, and pull on your spandex tights and release your inner hero at the Western Fair Grounds – Oxford Auditorium, August 12th between 12pm – 4 pm.
Come out for a family fun day in support of pediatric brain tumour research. The day will feature activities for all ages inside and outside, including a touch a truck, video games, vendors market, rock painting with #woodstockrocks, face painting, glitter tattoos, raffle prizes and of course your favourite superheroes and supervillains will be on hand including Batman and his Batmobile!!!
Make sure to come dressed in costume as your favourite superhero or character for a chance to win some awesome prizes!
Hosted with Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, all funds raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Brain Canada and go directly to Dr. Michael Taylor’s pediatric brain tumour research project at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. Brain cancer is the leading cause of death in children with cancer.
Our community has been deeply affected by childhood brain tumours. This event is in remembrance of Kay-Lynn Stevens, 20, Xavier Garrett, 7, and Gage Foster, 7 and anyone diagnosed with a brain tumour.
